Web Design is All About Usability

Web designing is not about how it looks, it's all about how it (the website) functions. If you don't agree, you are disagreeing with Steve Jobs, who made this comment while defining design in general. Thus, a beautiful looking website is not essentially a well-designed website, unless of course, it has the functionalities the user would desire and a navigation which needs no guidance. This is not understood by many web designers and often, many website owners as well. There are many web designers in Essex who would deliver a good-looking website, thinking they have done a great job. Thankfully, some other agencies understand the real meaning of effective web design and deliver websites where the users and visitors can be at ease. This, consequently, leads to better response from the users, which is, often, increased sales.

Think again, a beautiful webpage which looks stunning with all the animation but has no option to go back to the homepage, how would the user feel? This might be too simple an example, but you get the sense. Or, think of a website where there are so many designer features that the BUY NOW button loses the prominence. You wouldn't want that website for yourself, isn't it? Thus, web designing is not only making the website beautiful, it is making the website simply more user-friendly. If this is achieved, which can be checked via heat maps, the web designer has done a good job.
